When visiting, and especially if you reside here in Sacramento, you owe it to yourself to ride this paved, two lane, multipurpose scenic route along the American River.
Not to many cities have a gem like this... Where else can you ride 32 miles (one way) without having to deal with a motorist?.
This is a great year round ride with the exception of a couple places on the trail that flood during high river flows, one of which is Discovery Park!
No mater what level you're at, this trail will take you there...
If you're a beginner you have the option of starting at any number of access points and ride only as much as you're ready for.
